The one that upsets me is smokers in the restaurant outdoor bars ,,, and the "comfort" dogs" in the resuarants..i was in katie bells dowstairs ,,,a lady was feeding a dog from her plate,,,, folks we are headed for real issue with this dog mess!!

My dogs are wondering if they should pack their bags and get out of Dodge.

How could anyone allow their poor sweet dog to eat that dreck?

Hate is a very strong word and as I always tell my husband, I truthfully cannot say I hate anything. I always can see both sides to any story....or at least understand where the other person is coming from.....or what made them the way they are.

I always taught my own children to be kind and not to hurt anyone's feelings.
I know they would NOT be among the bullying crowd in the schools today.

That said, the majority of TV TOTV folks are super intelligent, ultra NICE, genuinely caring folks....but a small faction are so ready to jump onto any opinion they don't agree with.....and respond with cruel or negative comments.

Not everyone has to like the same thing. Not everyone should have to be politically correct all the time. I've watched how people almost have to apologize for their words....or their original thoughts. It's a little weird......if truth be told.

Maybe that's what some mean by the Kool-Aid or Stepford attributes.........????

Guess we've lived with the YANKEES too long up in New England.
People pride themselves on freedom of thought and speech up here.

I'm sure someone will now say that I should stay up north with the Yankees.....
There are a few Floridians we have met over the past almost 50 years that remind us of our native Vermonters............one old guy with a fishing pole walking up a dirt road on Sanibel Island, in particular...........we had gotten "off the beaten path" with our two teenagers in the back seat of our car..........hubby rolls down the window in what looked like a scene from "Children of the Corn" movie.........and asked this crusty old guy, "Could you please tell me how to get out of here?".........

"Same way you got in"........was his reply. Made us feel right at home, like an oldtime Vermont native. Few words and to the point.
