I agree 100% with you so I suggested that on the survey I filled out a while ago. Except I requested more late morning and early afternoon times.

MVP is not an option for me. The activities I'm interested in aren't scheduled back to back. Some have 2 and 3 hour gaps between them. Since I live close to Buena Vista/466A it would not only be inconvenient for me to travel back and forth a couple times a day but also conflict with some of my other activities.

All the "free" classes (those included in the amenity fee) are taught by volunteers. These volunteers give their time and expertise for no charge and have chosen the time and location of their class based on their own schedule and on the availability of a room in a suitable recreation center.

Some classes are early because the teachers work, some participants like them early because they also work. Teachers also have classes they want to attend and sports they want to participate in - they have a life too.

For people who don't want to rise early there are plenty of exercise classes later in the mornings and some in the afternoons.

Additionally there are many classes run by the Learning Center - but there is a cost for these.

Then as mentioned there are the gyms and MVP.

I love the 8 am Walk Away The Pounds classes. I enjoy the exercise and I "get it out of the way" early in the day.

A volunteer leader took the time to list ALL the WATP classes offered in TV... there are 50+ each week. If you don't mind a little travel, you should be able to find many that fit your schedule.

I don't know where you live, but you need to check the rec. ctr. paper as there are later morning and afternoon classes offered. Mulberry has low impact aerobics on Tues. Thurs. Sat. at 1:00 p.m. A lot of the rec. ctr. pools have water aerobics in the afternoons too. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I am not an early riser either, plus I like to read the paper first off and catch the latest news so I go to an aerobics class on M and Thur at Colony cottage that is offered from 10 to 11 AM, but it's very popular so you have to get there a bit early to find a place. All classes are given by volunteers so you can't request a 9 am class. However, you could probably reserve that time yourself and lead a class if you want to do that--but I think you have to sign a contract and commit for 2 years and you have to have someone to step in when you are not there. The volunteers are amazing.

Although I don't attend the classes, my wife does and she has mentioned more than once "why does everybody want to start so early?" My only answer is that the older you get the earlier MOST people get up. Of course I tell her that she is still YOUNG! Maybe it is easy to get fitness machines in the afternoon because most have worked out early and rushed home to get on TOTV. I like to golf early but only when its going to be hot. Otherwise, I want it to warm up a bit and its warmer at 9:00 or 10:00 than at 8:00 in the winter in TV. Regardless, we are probably in the minority but the minority should also be accommodated. I guess you have to start your own class and I bet you will find that it will be full.:MOJE_whot:

Do you know where I could find this list? I love those classes too, but I have a conflict - it's called a husband who likes breakfast every day, and please don't tell me to let him get his own, I have definitely left it too late for that!!!!

Ooops, I think I just found it http://thevillagesservicedirectory-c...dAerobics.aspx. Now why didn't I search for it before asking for it ......... sorry.

Sterling Heights has later classes, and so does Fish Hawk. Fish Hawk has a clas at 10, and 11 on Friday.

There is the answer. On an earlier post, Happinow told us she was 52. Since I am 72 early is good.
