Exhaust kitchen microwave

If you plan to do this correctly, then do not use a Microwave Hood Vent. Those in reality have very little ability to pull strong enough to actually vent what you are cooking. On paper they say this do, but in reality they can't even hold a piece of paper towel up against their intake because the suction is not good enough. Instead get a microwave for your counter and a real vent hood for your cooking area. If possible, vent the new hood directly out the back wall from the range to the outside. If not possible, then up through the roof. For either application be certain the installer uses an inline air valve that opens when there is action from your fan to the outside, but closes with spring action when not. This will also prevent back-draft of cold air in the winter to inside the house. I would not use a big box store to do this type work for you. You need a real jack of all trades type person to do this task correctly.

I'd add to that to look into the microwave drawer if you want to keep your counter space. They look and work great.
