Since you're still in NY, perhaps you've seen those Medicare Advantage commwhere the ercials (I think they were Empire BC/BS) ? I particularly liked the one where the baby boomer grandfather grabs the guitar from his granddaughter, then starts playing with the band.

No, we ain't dead yet.

Just received this in my mailbox. As much as I wish to respond, I won't. No sense getting into a ****ing contest with people with one track minds.

Hi Tom,

I was on Facebook a while back and when I suddenly received a friend invitation from someone I didn't know, I became concerned about safety.
As a former techie who is going in the other direction, I realize I may have been too concerned. I heard that Facebook had some security concerns but they were adddressed and probabily is as safe a site as one can be. I'm sure it serves a useful function to those who use it prudently.

Although, I will admit I didn't really look into these comments made on Facebook, my general impression is that it is a sign of the times. Just as the comedy routines/shows/movies, that are more graphic and vulgar as oppossed to years ago. I am not a prude and enjoy a lot of humor.

The spewing of garbage from one's mouth reminds me of an old comment, "do you eat of the same mouth that you talk".

they forget where their bread is buttered, but have no fear, as of my last visit to the page, it would 'appear' that superman's old friend jimmy olsen visited them and addressed all of their concerns.

Facebook is one of the most hacked web sites around. They continue to claim they have addressed the problem. That is until it is hacked again and personal information is stolen.

Facebook is nice as a communications tool, but you have to be careful about what you put on there.

Then again, sites like FB are part of the reason we have gotten away from SPEAKING with one another.

Michael Alderman- another famous quote from Facebook This one is a classic.
The residents of The Villages have it all backwards. They think they deserve certain privileges because they live in their manufactured "paradise". What they don't realize is what a privilege it is for them to live in our beautiful county(s). We were here first. We have lived here and called this place home long before they came and overcrowded our highways and ruined our scenery. Yet they call us dumb and ignorant rednecks because we resent them. Its a no brainer that we all have to co-exist now. it would just be so much easier if the Villages residents would lose their arrogance and holier than thou attitude.
***************

If it weren't for us, half the people in the area would be unemployeed.

Who cares.
Everyone can have an opinion and if they can not support their opinion with a rational argument why pay any attention to it?

The one behind it

If any of you wanted to know who started the page here is an interesting picture of him. Seems he tried very hard to wipe his identity from the page, but no one is ever truly anonymous on the internet.

Stuff you post there is here to stay. I present to you Michael Alderman.

So does anyone know him?
