They have actually been seeing each other for awhile.

OK. He's a persistent predator.

The real embarrassment is how she is being treated by the legal system here.
Will one year in prison help solve any of her difficulties.
I can't see how anyone was harmed by her actions, except those who choose to think they were.

I agree with Abster and Zonerboy.
She certainly didn't shame me.
The 18 year-old man who injured a woman in the TJ Maxx parking lot is free on bond. He has an extensive criminal record.
Peggy Klem is sitting in jail without bond. She didn't hurt anyone.
The shame here is the fact that she is being singled out for scorn and derision.

It won't be long before the detractors on here make their presence known. I wish the family a chance for some degree of normalcy and a new start. It's the Christian thing to do. I certainly can't throw stones but I'm sure there are some here that will feel obliged to.

God bless Peggy and her family.

You should realize this act has nothing to do with anyone. Her actions have had no effect on any Villager and only herself and family. As Jesus said, let those of you without sin cast the first stone.

What should get people angry here is a justice system that lets a thug who hurt the woman in the TJ Maxx parking lot out on bail and a system that keeps Margaret Klemm in jail.Ridiculous as are the self righteous people on here condemning her.

They are grown ups that did something stupid and now are paying for it.
It's a shame because she must have a lot of issues that I hope with her family she can work through.
I don't think anyone needs to talk bad about her.
Non of us are not all that innocent or righteous.

I agree Bonny, she didn't shame me either. I think she and her family need our prayers, not our scorn.

My sentiments exactly! I'm glad to see the donations are coming in for her defense!

She certainly didn't embarrass me. this is a troubled women who needs help not incarceration. I would prefer to see someone who mugged or injured someone incarcerated, IMHO.

According to the article he has charged $20,000 on his credit cards for legal fees for her. He and her children are the ones about whom I am concerned. They are the victims here, not her.

Peggy has quite a history, years of substance abuse and associated legal issues and is in jail without bond for a parole violation. I do not feel at all sorry for her. Nobody held a gun to her head to make her behave as she has for years. She needs to suffer the consequences of her own behavior.

........and you know this how? More Village gossip? How are you so privy to ALL the terrible things???? Hateful, bs!:swear:
