Default Findingout about TV

My wife and I discovered TV through friends. We visited them and fell in love. During our gradual move, they have been there coaching us and showing us the way one step at a time. Not sure if we could have made the transition without them.
Question is--- How many of you guys from TOTV moved here knowing nobody?

The only people I knew where TOTV people I met online. Since that first visit I found an old RI friend or two who made the move already. But my first taste was through people right here on this site.

We moved here knowing absolutely no one, but fell in love with the place our first visit...only one day.
Our neighborhood was new and everyone was in the same boat. Worked out well, very well, indeed.

We came for a week, a year ago, to vacation with friends that bought 4 years before but we had been visiting the villages website for the whole 4 years they owned watching the prices and checking out the different models. When we arrived we knew what models we were interested in seeing and then spent the last year planning a lifestyle visit to check it out on our own. Our opinion of TV did not change....we loved it. We put a down payment on a lot, came home and cleaned up and cleaned out a lot of STUFF, put the house on the market, got a P&S, told TV to start to build and we move in 9/3.

We did not know anyone living in TV before we purchased. Discovered TOTV after we purchased. Since then, have made wonderful friends in person, many of whom we met on TOTV.

Default We never ate alone !!

On our ONE WEEK VISIT in 2003 we were amazed that while standing in line at restaurants we would be invited to join the people ahead of us to join them when the hostess would come out and announce that they had a fourtop available.......It happened to us three times that week......We decided that this would be a neat place to retire ....AND IT IS....

The only people I knew were the ones on TOTV before we bought in April. Since then we have met many more on TOTV and at the Buttonwood neighborhood pool. Been invited to parties and dinners from people we just met, and we don't even live there full time yet,how cool is that!!? I'm pretty sure making new friends will not be a problem
