Some of us on this thread could have gone all day and not posted a single thing. Some of us are always fair and some of us are always unrealistic and some are grumpybutts. Period and AMEN.

And sometimes I'm all three!

But I felt vilagesff had good points in his original post but could have put the "leave me the heck alone" a little more politely. However, it didn't override the points in his post for me.

And the volunteers did/do a great job, not just the firefighting but damn good emts on the ambulances.

I was shocked when I left LI and heard that people are billed for ambulance calls.

They are like insurance...you gotta pay for it but hope you never need it. One big difference is an insurance company doesn't risk it's life.

We keep talking about paying our EMT's more. OK but as I mentioned I think the vast majority of calls within TV are handled by Sumter County EMS and Rural Metro. Neither of which we could control how much they are paid.

I am not going to respoind to any additional notes to this tread on this subject.
It is hard if not impossible to discuss or work with people when there are some that are just angry at the world and are negative with no boundries. This has now started to be a forum for their anger and since I can't either understand that in a person or the behavior I don't want to be the one that provides
the pulpit for this to continue. :o
