Believe me....if you are passionately right or passionately left Political is not the place to be. It's more mean spirited than the true politicians are.

Guess it's really hard to be a moderate there. Thanks for the heads up.

Read and Learn..

The day will be most memorable in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival…It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade…bonfires and illuminations (fireworks) from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore.

So wrote John Adams on July 3, 1776 to his wife after the Continental Congress had decided to proclaim the American colonies independent of England.

Fireworks were associated with Independence Day celebrations even before the signing of the Declaration.
Thanks for the "lesson" and inserting (fireworks); my "illumination" will be sparklers.

You make an assumption. I did not insert the word "Fireworks". That is how it was written in the article.
Nice try though. Oh, and the last thing I want to do is to hold a 3,000 degree burning steel rod in my hand.

I bet your dogs name is duffy.

I miss your friendly posts. Please reconsider your posting again.

Comments that are made to correct my thinking are greatly appreciated. Everyone is entitled to their point of view.

JMHO - I tend to ignore negative comments made when I give an opinion because that's me and nobody wins a pi**ing contest. Everyone should agree to disagree respectfully.

IT DON'T COST NOTHING TO BE NICE - MOM

7,000 people were treated in emergency rooms for injuries sustained from fireworks. Don't be a statistic, let your friend light the fuse. ;P Happy 4th of July!!
