Default First glimpse of bridge over turnpike location found

Next week's Wildwood Project Review Committee will get their first glimpse at the possible location of the bridge to be built across the turnpike's location. While not a part of the work for plans being reviewed for, it is pointed out on the plans and is shown on the drawings. There's no guarantee that this will be the actual/final location of the bridge but it does indicate that the thoughts and planning for the bridge are in the works.

The location shown is about 1/2 mile northwest of the Duke Energy power lines and is consistent with what has been shown on the artist renderings that have been previously published in the Daily Sun and the monthly villages magazine.

I was wrong, I've been speculating in my videos that the possible location was just north of the Duke power line crossing. My wife will now immortalize my confession and never let me forget that, once again, I was wrong.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I sure hope thoughts and planning are in the works because this needs to be done in the next 11 months to meet the connectivity schedule announced.

If you watch the January VMail, they mention that 2 of 4 connectivity bridges are scheduled to be done in 2019. I wasn't sure what to make of that. Assuming that 1 of the 4 is the 2nd turnpike bridge that was announced in 2018, what is the other that is NOT scheduled to be completed in 2019?

So glad to see that Mrs. Goldwingnut is on her game! As they say, it's a tough job but someone has to do it!

I think the two for 2019 completion are the bridge shown above and the bridge over 44 at Brownwood.

I think the two for later completion are the bridge over 44 at Rohan Rec Center and the bridge over the turnpike, south of the service plaza.

That's my guess.

Google Maps
A church (I can't remember name) bought that parcel. There will be a church near 466A. Behind the church will be an assisted living facility.

I would like to know exactly what is going to be done to the intersection of 468 and 301. Surely by now Wildwood must have definitive plans for that area as they have already changed the utility poles.

FDoT decided to modify the intersection to improve its accessibility and usability instead of building the exit at CR468. It is very hard to navigate the FDoT website but I believe I saw concept plans a while back that showed the proposed redesign of the interchange. In a word the current interchange SUCKS.
