Beware, the snowbirds are coming!

First indication? When posters here start whining that lines are longer, tempers are shorter and tee times are not available.

We had a hard time finding a parking space at 3:15pm today at Lake Sumter Landing. I think the "early birds" may be here...

This will be our ninth year in our Villages home. We can hardly wait to see our friends.
The excitement and anticipation build ....... :pepper2:

I eagerly await your arrival!

And I eagerly await our first golf game. :girlneener:
P.S. For those golfers who are cringing in anticipation, I'm not much of a golfer, but I know enough to play Ready Golf. :D

What is the first sign of the winter season starting. When do you realize the snow birds are roosting for the winter. Lets have fun with this!

Wanda I agree with you.
My post very early on this thread was deleted, not sure why?
My post.
Have fun, at who's expense?

Thank you

I started this thread for some lighthearted fun and enjoy the responses. Thank you to all. I wanted something that we could all be less serious and it has woeked.

I doubt there are not a LOT of snowbirds who will ALWAYS be snowbirds.

How could they just keep leaving this beautiful place????.......... and someday their grandchildren will go away to college, as ours did.

Here is a wish that all snowbirds will become frogs and will take their rightful place here in lower paradise.

This trip home, I can tell these birds are getting closer to being frogs. My he grands are growing up. Our kids are so busy with their work and raising the grands --just as it should be. There is a natural progression to life -and to the snow birds' migration!

As Canadians and "resident aliens", the U.S. government restricts us to living in our Villages home a maximum of 182 days in a calendar year. For us, that is usually Nov. 1 to May 1. And for that privilege we feel blessed. :ho:
You Americans are very lucky to be able to stay in Florida for as long as you want!

And just think, we paid Spain nothing to acquire it.

Does a Toyota with Maryland plates on the golf cart path count?

Saw it around 1:00 at the gate house in Hillsborough.

Definitely. Unless they stopped by the closest tee box to wait for their assigned tee time.

Ready Golf and attendance at Good Golf School are crucial to being a good neighbor!:gc:
