It would be great if we knew what Village the person lived in and where they traveled--its beginning--its going to be a rough ride

As testing becomes more available and done, the cases will increase. We don't know what we don't know but available testing will help us learn.

The Daily Sun's facebook page may have more information than the Florida Dept of Health, but the Dept's website reports as of 11 AM today:

Quote:
Sumter County, Florida
Total Cases: 1
Sumter Residents: 1
Sumter Residents Treated Elsewhere: 0
Non-Sumter Residents: 0

Demographics:
Men: 1
Women: 0
Age Range:

More Information:
Travel-Related Cases: 0
Known Contact with Case: 0
Note: A person can be both a travel-related case and a known contact case, just one of those, neither of those, or be pending investigation.
It does NOT list this case as travel related at this time.

The person who has tested positive will be questioned by The Public Health Department and they will reach out to contact anyone who has been in contact with this person. This information is private and has no business being published in TOTV. If the person wishes to reveal themselves it is their business. If a recreation center, club or particular area has been involved that will be revealed by Health Department. Let’s not try and take over the job of the Health Department by spreading rumors or panicking. We should all just take advice for seniors given by CDC .
