Default FISHING, CAMPING AND HIKING

Hello Everyone,

Our son enjoys camping, hiking and fishing. Can anyone suggest any wilderness areas in this region.

I know about Ocala State Park, but not any specific places where he could go. Can anyone suggest some?

The same for Homossasas State Park and Crystal Lake.

Or of other options within a 150 mile area.

Appreciate any assistance you can give us.

Nice link. http://www.dep.state.fl.us/gwt/guide...nat_forest.htm Have fun.

Love this park even though it is about 100 miles from TV. http://www.floridastateparks.org/honeymoonisland/ And you can catch a ferry to here from Honeymoon Island http://www.floridastateparks.org/caladesiisland/

Here is another neat park in the St.Pete-Tampa area-- http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_Ft_DeSoto.htm Fort DeSoto Park is about 130 miles from TV.

Does anyone know where we can go to look at lakes around TV for fishing? My family goes fishing every year in Canada (8 hours from Buffalo, NY) and we fish for Yellow Pike (Pickerel, wall-eyes), fresh water fishing. Is there only bass fishing in the area? Can we rent a boat for a day and bring our own tackle? Thanks for any advice. JanetandCarol
