Default Flags

I’ve noticed that some of my neighbors have placed small American flags around the perimeter of their front lawn much as they do for the Fourth of July and Memorial Day. This is March so I am not aware of any National holidays. Am I missing something?

I think they're doing it as a sign of (long needed) solidarity in a crisis, much like after 9/11.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see some of THAT on forums, esp ToTV. Too many hostile, angry, and sometimes know-it-all responses.

I hope others don't consider this one...one of those.

I was just curious why a few neighbors were doing it. I don’t have a problem with Old Glory waving. Why would I ?

As long as no one feels like they're being shamed into doing it too, I have no problem with American flags being flown respectfully. I do tend to cringe when the stick flags are low enough that the flag itself is touching the ground.

It's the new way to celebrate having enough toilet rolls to last the course!

A good friend of mine lined his property with small American flags. I, too, have a flag pole on my property. I asked him what was going. He felt it was important to show support for America at this time of need in our country. Its being patriotic regardless of party affiliation. In turn, I, too added small flags on my property. This is the time to show unity just like immediately following 9-1-1.

More helpful to send money to organizations helping needy people at this time.
