Four hours ago, I posted:
Florida................8,000 cases.
Dade County 2400
Broward County 1350
Palm County 630

Now Florida is 9,000 cases.

Dade County 2900
Broward County 1500
Palm County 700

Need to slow this down.

And yet look at how many states have not shut down anything. How do those states fare from the states that are on lock down

Iowa and four other states — North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Arkansas — as yet have no state-wide orders. Six states — Wyoming, Utah, Oklahoma, Missouri, Alabama and South Carolina — have at least one city with shelter-in-place rules. As of now, 38 states have full lock-down orders from the top. It changes hourly so getting real data might be tough.

See Which States and Cities Have Told Residents to Stay at Home - The New York Times (Texas is now under full S.A.H. which is not indicated on the map).

Early on in CT, the chief health official said for every person diagnosed there are 100 infected people. I would be very careful in TV with a high vulnerability profile. What is happening in the hot spots will happen there also. You are just on a different part of the curve, maybe a week or two behind.

I've heard what I needed to hear to be able to figure out what I needed to do to stay as safe as possible during this covid-19 crisis

I have absolutely no interest in 'contemplating my navel' around the number of cases in the state of Florida

I'd rather go out and cut my lawn with a pair of shears than try to get my head around all that mis-information

stay at home

social distance

Home | Florida Disaster check covid 19 info then click on daily update. When I originally found this it was only 50 pages now close to 200 pages it breaks down what the numbers are by county, city, deaths by area, it also lists male or female if they have traveled and sometimes where.

Didn’t have time to read all the responses, but naturally, with 22M people in the state, we will have a lot more cases than states with a lot less population.

No thanks to our Governor that thinks all churches are "essential" and everyone should go if they want! This decision will cost him votes in next election no doubt!

From observation, if you just look at what people are experiencing you can understand how dangerous this is. e.g. how often have you taken a cruise and returned home with 4 people dead and many others seriously ill from the Flu? Or gone to choir practice and dozens get sick with 2 dead from the Flu. Or heard of a large number of sailors being evacuated from a navy ship because of the serious risk to their health. The # of celebrities that have already been infected and died shows how this touches everyone.

This is clearly not your regular flu, and our actions directly affect both us AND those around us. It still has to fully play out. We need to take it seriously. Keep listening to the scientists, and hopefully by May/June we will be beyond that curve and we will be here to enjoy golf again.
Good point and our great minds in science and medicine tell us to be safe not only for or own well being but for the rest of th e villages

Mainly because they started flying, driving and busing in from hot spot areas, with limited health care facilities, bringing the virus to Florida.

How do you arrive at the conclusion that there are people going to church? My church has been closed for a month now. It is a gathering of no more that 10. I can’t imagine any church open that is holding services at this time or the governor contradicting his order of no more than 10.

"Votes" as in plural? I am not so sure. I think we can agree that it will cost him 1 vote.
