We do not live in the outback. No shortage of such quotes. They are all out of context.
Real world. Image someone decides the object to driving on the right side. So they decide they have the right to drive in the golf cart lane or on the road TOWARD YOU?
Hum. But OFFICER they should follow the rules. I just don't think I should

We like to enjoy ourselves and do go 20-21but I don’t understand the rush. The one that had to pass me tonight proceeded to then turn 20 feet down the road.

Good point. There are 3 groups in TV Land driving around. 1 ) The residents that are retired and take their time driving close to the speed limit on the interior (inside the gates) low-speed roads. 2 ) The residents that are retired and drive their cars and golf cars AS IF they were still working and are late for work. (they even "soup-up" their golf cars). 3 ) The non-retired drivers of commercial trucks such as the lawn service people that typically drive WAY above all speed limits. They are young, impulsive, dead-end types with little regard for their own future - let alone, YOURS. Many, not all, are paid weekly and are undependable losers from the bottom of the gene pool. They are potential criminals that walk and drive among the vulnerable senior residents. They can act as scouts and reconnaissance agents to "tip-off" and get rewarded by their evening shift of breaking and entering fellow low-lives.
.......It is no wonder that they speed through the low-speed limit residential streets with their adrenaline-filled, illegal-drug-filled veins bulging with rage against authority. The ONLY recourse for the Village residents to offset this gangland horror on the streets is to cut their own grass or pay ONLY retired residents to cut their grass. Do your part to prevent local crime by reducing the lawn maintenance gangs!

Oh boy. How do you feel when you want to go 20 MPH and someone ahead is going 14 MPH? Do not feel the rush then?

We stay in line and if we get to a point where we can go another way we take the path that they don’t.

This is my Village complaint. We do have a great life, I try not to let my cancer in the way, 7.5 years and still fighting.

If i have a long stretch of path to safely pass i don't bother because the other driver may decide to peg his cart while i'm passing and i won't be able to complete the pass. I've only had this happen once and that was enough to just sit behind everyone after that. I'm not in a hurry but it's nice to just put the pedal to the floor and think about other things. Changing the rear differential gears would give me the speed i need to pass someone safety if the desire arises again. The downside is not being able to just put the pedal on the floor and just go with the flow at 20.

Does anyone know a guy that can swap out the gears in a 2020 yamaha? Or the cost of doing it? Asking for a friend.

contact nascar. Their website will direct you

You can download a free App to your phone that tells you your speed.

It's not the donkeys that pass you at 25 MPH that cause problems...It is those who pass you at 21 MPH that do.

Criminals break the law everyday. Some are caught and maybe incarcerated or fined.
They still continue to break the law. I don't think fining someone for speeding will stop them from speeding.
Also, The Villages golf garages will up your speed to 24.5 if you sign a waiver.

We were told not to mess with the governor on the cart speedometer as it would invalidate the warranty on the cart if we got ticketed for speeding, could cause problems with insurance coverage as a result, not to mention the legal issues if you actually hit someone or get into an accident at that speed. I'll just putter along at 20 mph and let the speed-demons have their fun!!

Why would you say that.

If I safely pass you, it's because I am not letting you dictate my speed. I am more active now than ever and I did not move here to slow down. If you are going 18 and I am going 22 and I pass you, that big frown on your face and your hate that I did that is causing you undue stress. You can't change this as it happens constantly...just stay in your lane...

Did you have a radar gun to tell he was going 35?

Part of the social compact that is signed by us by virtual of living among people is that we agree to the "rule of law" - no man is an island or a government unto himself. So, in this case, it is NOT a good idea to speed, pass, or drive in ANY manner that endangers any OTHER driver on the common, (paid for by all of society) roads.

Yes, by all means let's catch those criminals and lowlife retirees who have the audacity to drive their cart at 20.1 mph They should get 10-20 at a max security prison at hard labor and bread and water rations. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:
