Funny you should ask I have a 3/2 and a pool

One thing to check out. Ask if you will be getting a Resident ID. If you are only provided a Guest ID by the homeowner, you may be excluded from participating in activities at the Rec Centers if the classes are full. You also will not be allowed to use the sports pools, which are for residents who have a "Resident ID". It could also impact your golf play time depending on how busy the courses are. You may be able to purchase a Resident ID for your stay, but you would have to check with TV Sales office about that.

Renting a house for one month next March is going to be very difficult as so many snowbirds and previous renters have renewed for 2023.

If your friends from Georgia can rent here in TV for multiple months that makes it easier.

Sometimes the rental websites have a checkbox for pets.... They may want to search both ways even for "no pets" houses and then describe to the owner.

Also there are multiple websites where owners post their listings. check out the rentals page on The Villages 101 The Villages 101

And keep those searches going on a weekly basis as there may be cancellations.

Lots of nice rentals in orange blossom. Close to square, shopping, and activities. Some come with golf carts. Just ride around and you will see for rent signs.

Have your GA friends look on VillagersHomes4Rent.com. They can refine their search for the things they are looking for, king bed, pool, pets etc. This site is used by home owners who are renting their homes themselves. New homes come on the site all the time, so tell them to keep watching they will eventually find something.

March is prime season. Most landlords will only rent for the entire three months - Jan thru March. Particularly the type of house you are looking for. And obviously the dogs make it even harder.

As mentioned earlier, you will have better luck if you choose a month other than prime season.
