Actually, that's exactly what I thought at first too.

Maybe TV sales office have had a lot of enquiries from France, and have released them to make the prospective customers feel at home.

Al long, long time ago I moved to a place that backed up to the woods and had tree frogs. I thought I was going crazy or being pranked because my great hearing [at that time] could hear little knocks on the door all hours of the night. I would turn on the porch light [the little fellas would hop away], open the door and no one was there.

Thanks for all the responses. Coming from downstate NY this is all new to us however we are loving the nature theme of Fenney. No beef with the frogs. Peace and love!

Be careful with your dogs though; I've been told that some giant toads are poisonous to dogs.

You are right, Boffo toads are potentially lethal at any size to a dog. When I lived in South Florida my dog, while on leash, grabbed one. He dropped it when I commanded, but started to gag almost instantly. I scooped him up and ran for home. Fortunately after about 100-150 feet I realized that he was OK. My neighbor however almost lost his terrier because of a Boffo. The dog spent close to a week in intensive care at a significant cost. Avoid them at any cost, as well as the Cobalt Blue spotted toads.

They were like that down here for a month or so last year. At least the love bugs are pretty much gone.
