We couldn't find a replacement at either store or Ace.

Those are available at Lowe's. 8 bucks for the 7' strip. Very easy to replace, and can be painted to match the house color.

I've installed hundreds of feet of these. Unfortunately, most of the houses here need wider widths for the top portion, and getting two and butting them together looks amateur. And yes, they're easily painted to match the existing color of the house trim/band

Yowser, that needs a little bleach

Hence the reason the home inspector dinged it on the report for the customer.

after you replace the seal, add car wax paste to the bottom of the seal. older door

after you replace the seal, apply car wax paste to the seal that meets the floor. older door seals need the wax, it keeps the seal from sticking to the floor, and pulling it from the door

Easy, but usually looks like crap done by a rookie.

It's worth having a "pro" do the job, it's the front of your house.

:ho:

I always get a laugh at it's easy. I am a garage door tech over 20 years it's not that easy and when the stucco pulls off when removing old ones you want to cry. Also many homes used steel and concrete header making it very difficult to nail in. One of my least favorite jobs.

I watch a video on you tube, easy peasy

With service call that's very reasonable.

Yeah, I can do a lot of things myself, and do so, but what is money for? I could have power washed my driveway by renting a power washer and it would have taken all day but paid somebody $80 and it was done in 45 minutes. That is what I call progress. Money is like manure, spread it around.
