Maybe TOV website should add a "FREE" category to the list of classifieds.

Call the District to get your answer

The home in Lake county on Waste Management would take anything I put out within reason. Piles of furnature...as long as they could get it in the truck they took it.

I left four plastic patio "PVC" chairs out in my Sumter home and Jacobs wouldn't take it.

There's a saying "The solution to pollution is dilution". A few minutes with the sawszall and a plastic bag...they took it the next time.

I'm in the habit of just cutting up anything larger and stuffing it in a contractor bag then they will take it. There's a weight limit of like 40lbs, so multiple bags are required on occasions.

Much cheaper than burial or cremation.

Now that is funny.

Yes, even if they are being trashed you should always keep the set together. L0L!

If usable - post to Buy Nothing facebook page, post on next-door for free or on freecycle (Lady Lake) as a way to give away. The normal garbage trucks contents go to the trash for energy program. Certain items do not work with that program and need to be picked up separately and handled differently.

I have given many items away using the methods above, someone gets something they need and it stays out of a land fill - the best kind of recycling.

Put out all four the day BEFORE your trash is picked up. There are people who cruise Villages on days before pickup looking for just that type of thing; sort of a cottage industry.

They're called "pickers"...

If you’re on Facebook put a post that says FREE with your address. Whatever you put at the curb will be gone in no time.

$10

Anything south of 44. The $10 is added in your amenities bill automatically you do not have to pay extra. We pay every month for Bulk Pickup whether you have it or not you just must call the Villages. Let them know and they will tell you to put it out the night before so they can notify Jacob’s

My neighbor put 3 patio chairs out for pick up and the garbage men picked them up.

Break them down and put them in trash bags and they’ll take them.

I called ahead and for 10 bucks they took my microwave on a scheduled pick-up day. A big truck came through with mattresses, furniture, etc., and tossed my microwave in the truck. You can always put on marketplace or on facebook “free”. Got rid of lots of things that way too.

Sumpter county waste disposal.

Definitely not gonna be the most popular option, I had a lot of stuff to get rid of, 60” TV, a few leftover bags of tile cement, rusted patio chairs ect. I loaded it all into my car and took it over to the sumpter county waste dump, $15 bucks and done.
