If you get a Wawa card, you save 25 cents on your first 100 gals in the first 2 months of getting the card-found $25.00

the Shell's on 466 are selling at $2.18

Stations on 441 selling at 2.18

WaWa is at a very busy intersection

I can't drive my golf cart to WaWa

I wish WaWa had located toward 466A or better to Feeney

I want to go back to paying $.25 a gallon and getting my oil checked and my windshield cleaned while the attendant filled my tank:D

and I want the oil companies to return that 1/10 of cent, that they garb for themselves and return it to me because over the years it adds up:D

Personal Best Regards:

Plenty of places to fill up golf cart long before you get to end of 466. WAWA couldn't compete on villages property, they actually have business since and built off campus. The business model probably showed gas golf cart business not worth the extra expense, meaning unlike the federal government they have to make wise business decisions to turn profit.

I think WAWA building in lady lake, on 441. IMO they didn't see profit in just doing village business on village property.

Actually gas probably cheaper now than it was back in 1965 due to wage you was earning. Full service in anything now like blue moon.

gas would be about 1.50 gallon right now it state and federal government didn't get there cut. They make more than the oil company on gallon of gas cause they have nothing invested, just skimming off the top.

$7.50 gallon at local gas station back home in UK. I love it here, they give the stuff away!!

Get the GasBuddy app for your phone. It's does a good job of tracking nearby gas prices.

As long as we can get the gas without waiting I'm thrilled. I would also like to bring up the subject of having someone pump the gas for me, I'll pay the toll. To those stations who allowed local customers to have their credit cards skimmed, shame on you, we have many more options now and we will use them.

The price of a gallon of gasoline England compared to the US is not really comparable. In fact many such comparisons are impossible.
Here in the US TAXES amount to over 1/3 of what we pay for gasoline. I expect in England the ADDED TAX is even higher.
But, if I'm not mistaken in England you pay only once to register a car. We pay every year. Tolls? I'n not sure what they are in England but in the US they add significantly to your cost of driving.
Heck-Driving in England? Gas is sold by the liter. They drive on the wrong side of the street. Gasoline is more likely to be diesel and I think they call it Petrol
Oh, and England invented the inch, the foot, the yard etc.
They went metric and left US holding the foot.

A tale of gasoline

All gasoline is not the same. Actually, most of it comes out of the same pipe what is different is the additive package.

The additive package is the detergents added to the gasoline to keep your engine clean. According to stuff I read several years ago, of the brands available around here, Shell and Chevron have the best detergent package. Of course OFF BRAND GASOLINE such as sold at Walmart or Wawa is going to be less costly.

We can I suppose get into one of the typical threads my gas can take your gas. We do far less driving then we used do do when working. I used to drive 25-30,000 miles a year.

We use Shell gasoline. I filed for some discount card that knocks a few cents off every gallon. We get discounted gift cards from our credit card company-CAPITAL ONE.

As to finding the best price. It is actually more important than what you save. Like any other business the gas sellers talk to each other. It is your duty to be sure the person with the lowest price makes the most money.
If, not all sellers will raise their price.

But we kept the mile!
Tax on a gallon of fuel is about 80%
We dont pay to register car plates each year, but pay annual road tax. For my old gas guzzler aprox $650 a year..........................and we drive on the correct side of the road. everybody else is wrong!!

Who goes inside?

Thought the WalMart at Colony would give the gouger Shell station there some competition but instead has joined them. Only saving grace is there's no upcharge for using a CC.

On any given day go inside the Murphy's or Wawa. You will be amazed at the amount of customers in there buying stuff.

I'm from Qtown, PA and will be in TV 1/25. So excited to hear a WAWA is there, where on 466 is it? Thanks

OhioBuckeye 12-27-2017 09:45 AM

I'm in Ohio right now (12-27-17) & as I'm concerned there's no gas war in & around TV. Georgia, Tenn. Kentucky & Ohio had lower gas prices when I left. Gas prices in TV when I left was $2.39, gas prices once I got out of Florida ran between $2.05 to $2.35. $2.35 was in Ohio & now 12-27-27 there's $2.24. I went to Texas a month ago & gas prices there were $1.89. I'm telling you nothing in TV is cheaper. TV isn't what it used to be!
