Yes, I agree. Joe did a group of us a few months back. I really love it!

But be aware depending on the placement on your mirror it doesn’t open every gate. Apparently the gate poles are not all at the same height!

Not typical of the very friendly gate keepers I always encounter!

Read it again. The gate attendant refused nothing.

A real “gentleman “ would have picked up her gate card and handed it back to her with a smile. Chivalry has long ago died.

My thinking exactly
In addition, if the rules say he can’t leave the hut, there are always exceptions to the rules

As I asked a couple of times to please open and he refused unless I got out of the car and pushed the button he left the "non residents" gate open and cars were flying through while I was being held up along with the cars behind me. I take responsibility for dropping the gate pass but the gate employee, was on a power trip which is a first for me. As an aside, he was smirking as he was shaking his head that he would not open the gate. We have been residents around 14 years and I have never had an experience like this from a Village Employee. I should add that I had just made a round trip to Mayo Clinic and was tired and not prepared for someone who needed attention at my expense. Please no lecturers on responsibilities. I really don't
need that right now!!!:ohdear:

That was just plain unkind of him & I’m sorry that happened to you. I’d report it, there’s no necessity for him to behave that way. Take care.

I wish the people operating the gate on Morse Blvd. going north, just north of 466, would periodically hold up car traffic at the gate to allow golf carts to cross over from the golf cart lane on Morse southbound to the multi-model path. I have never seen a gate operator turn around to check out how many golf carts are lined up trying to cross over to the MMP. Frankly, if they don’t do that one simple task, why do they even need to be there?

Exactly.

Does not work for every gate.

I have been here 10 years and ask myself every time I go through a maned gate what’s the purpose of having these gates manned.

Speed bumps would do the same as the gates.

Gate Cards

I have even had one or two suggest that I use the guest entrance when it's raining. It's rare in the years that I have been here that I have had a grumpy gate keeper. One instance does not make the norm.

Gate cards will work w/o opening your window. That's what I do, go slow, pull close, and hold your card up to the glass window, this will activate the gate.

That’s exactly what he should have done. She can’t open door fully to pick it up. Can’t move forward (gate closed)and cars in back of her. He wants her to push red button to move on and leave card on ground. This needs to be reported.

Nope

SB's don't stop cars.

Cars stop for golf cart traffic.

Whole lot of finger pointing and criticism of the gate operator based on just one side of the story. As Paul Harvey always said lets hear the rest of the story.
