Where there is water in Florida there are gators. No crocs here. We have very few mosquitoes at our house. We live on a golf course with the nearest pond being around 300 yards from us so there may be other opinions about mosquitoes from people living closer to the water.

No crocs, but..........gaters, skeeters, snakes, palmetto bugs (cockroaches), lizards, fox, coyotes, bears, and many many dogs. 🐾

The Lochness Monster is here during March. Rents a place near Lopez.

And let us not forget the ubiquitous lovebugs.
Mosquitos are pretty much kept under control. Noseeums, fire and drunken ants can be minor issues. Rabbits are in abundance, as are many other wildlife species, including snakes. Most will happily leave you alone if you will extend the same courtesy to them.

We saw a Chupacabra coming out of Brownwood one evening.

Ummm and there is that Mama bear and her cub that keeps being spotted near 466 and rolling acres. I think all geographic areas have some sort of critters but we all coexist very nicely here.

Since we moved here nearly four years ago from S. Fl., we never encounter mosquitos. I think the Family bans them in The V. Crocs only in S. Fl. Alligators. Encountered rarely.

Cougars are frequently seen around Lake Sumter and Spanish Springs. I've seen a few red headed double breasted bed thrashers too.

Ignore blue dog. He's talking about human, female types not real big kitties.

Very observant bluedog. I have also seen some big tailed flat bellied home wreckers in that area.

There are gators where there is water. They are mostly docile if not provoked. Since we are close to National forest Bears have been seen.

And now being the third most populas state in the union, it is apparent that all of these critters has stopped no one from moving here!!...

You've all forgotten the most feared and detested creature that is in The Villages in abundance. The dreaded Snowbird. Thank goodness they're only spotted in the winter months.
