It can make the difference between being able to continue living here and having to go to assisted living.

As a friend shockingly says, FAIR? Life is not fair. Old school perhaps. Surely you will get suggestions. Write them on index cards and investigate. Assisted living is a scary line to cross. From the post you are of sound mind. Perhaps, you should list where in the villages you are. Perhaps, there is someone who would help you out for a fee. Uber etc

Is there a ride service that anyone can recommend for transportation for someone who has had to stop driving? This would be for doctor appointments, errands, etc, within The Villages. TY.

There are few local cab (taxi) services that may be useful as well as Uber or Lyft. If this is a rare occurrence perhaps a neighbor could help.
NOTE: if the "had to stop driving" is due to losing their license, they cannot drive a golf cart, it is my understanding the loss of your license prevents you from operating ANY motorized vehicle.

An e-bike would be a motorized vehicle that a person could drive without a drivers license, I believe. Not sure about driving a golf cart?

If a person is no longer driving due to physical or/or cognitive issues, I doubt they're going to be able to safely ride an electric bicycle...

Uber/Lyft is the obvious answer here; that &/or helpful friends & neighbors.

Check with you medical insurance

Some medical insurance plans off this service. Usually 24 one way trips a year. Depends on the plan. Check your insurance benefits and see if you have this. Remember, though, that some of this is changing in 2025. I know for sure the Florida Blue HMO Premier plan offers it now but will not in 2025.

Check with your insurance or Medicare…some offer transportation to doctors appointments a couple times a month.

I see it is your first post. Where is this business located, and where do you provide these services geographically? I did not find the license registered in the FL dbpr. Do you carry commercial insurance?

I am in the process of setting up a Ride share here in the Villages for airports. The commercial companies have had to many issues and complaints. My fees will be very competitive and my clients always seem happy with my service.
