I bought a Gardenia in I think section 210. It is block and stucco and I am looking forward to moving in.

When I put in the address it comes up as Wildwood rather than TV. I've heard that's not the best of areas. Do I have a problem or is google just wrong. All of my papers say I'm buying in TV but now I'm concerned.

Good Luck Diane,,, call me when you get settled in. Can't wait to meet up.

I know how you feel....closed middle of May....take deep breaths...
when I was looking at resales and they were only a year or two old, the map view would be an empty lot....it does take time for things to become current...

map of your new 'hood, Diane, welcome!

On a related note, your address can have two cities that are recognized by the Postal Service. i.e. our zip is 32162 and searching the USPS zip search it give The Villages as the preferred city and indicates that using Lady Lake is also acceptable if someone uses that in mailing you. Go to the following link and enter your zip to see this:

Wildwood is an "up and coming" area----we shop and eat there. I don't know where people get the idea that something is wrong with Wildwood. It was pretty much a Railroad town years ago----TV being closeby has brought new life to Wildwood.

Yes, yes, yes! Gilchrist is one of the newer Villages in The Villages. Don't lose a minute's sleep over this. Instead, be excited. Be very excited. For tomorrow, you will be a Villager. Congratulations and welcome!

:crap2::beer3::a040::a040::a040:

Gilchrist is not only one of the newer villages, it is the best of the villages.

I think the postal service doesn't even look at the city on mail. I believe they just go by the zip code. Send yourself a letter with the proper zip code, but put Hollywood, CA. Wouldn't be surprised if you receive it.
