Talking Glad I am here

Looks like New England is going to get hit with a nice storm good thing I came down here for the holidays.

Today: Snow, mainly after 2pm. High near 32. Breezy, with a northeast wind between 13 and 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Tonight: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 26. Windy, with a north wind between 28 and 33 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.

Monday: Snow, mainly before 3pm. High near 32. Windy, with a north wind between 26 and 31 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Pat_RI and Getdul981:

Nice pictures. CT will look like the pictures later today!

I am happy for you both that you don't have to deal with this anymore.

Happy New Year.

While it is on the cold side here in TV and very windy we are so, so glad we did not make the trek north to CT & MA to spend the holidays with our family. Last year we went north for Christmas on the tail end of a major storm and said that would be the last winter trip north for us.

Smart move. It is 28 here in North Kingstown and snow is falling. Suppose to get nasty later this afternoon.

I left R.I. yesterday. So glad I did it. My grandson called awhile ago and said it's snowing very heavy there. He lives in Burrilville R.I. It's in the northwest corner of the state. Decided to come home Christmas day as my partner didn't go up north with me. He didn't want to drive, so I wanted to be home for Christmas to be with him. Good timing.

It's cold here, but not as cold as it was last week up north. When my daughter took me to the airport yesterday morning it was 16 degrees. BRRRRRRR !!!!!!

We're packing right now...waiting for the snow to fall. If all goes right we'll be on the road Tuesday morning and in TV sometime Thursday.
Now I know we made the right decision to buy in TV. I never realized how much I HATE winter!

Is that true it is going down to 33 degrees tonight in TV??? I am upstate NY for the holidays and it is snowing - the fire place is on - have a nice warm glass of gluvine.- the NY Giants are on television. The weather is invigorating to say the least. I have to say those pictures that were posted were really beautiful. But I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Obviously some people have a hatred for snow. 33 is not my idea of a great winter. well i have to go and get my daily exercise and shovel that beautiful snow. To each his own I dont really see any beauty in a frozen palm tree. Sorry if i offended anyone with my ranting about snow - but some people love it and some hate it- just thought i would add my two cents.I will soon have to leave and travel 1000 miles to get cold again.
