I signed up with GMR originally but they closed before they got to my 1st shot date which was 1/20. Then I found Lake County and was able to sign up for my first shot (pfizer) at Lake Square Mall on 1/29. They said I would be called for an appointment time for my second dose on 2/19 and if I did not hear by 2/12 to give them a call. I did call on the 12th and there was just the recording to sign up for the vaccine. I will try again on 2/15 but am afraid that I may not be able to obtain the 2nd dose. I am getting rather anxious. I wish all these places to sign up would let you know which vaccine they will be administering.

The one at Wildwood Community Center is run by Sumter County. The one at Buffalo Ridge is run by GMR (Global Medical Response). GMR moved to the High School because of the rain in the field. I think Lake is best at the Sears in Leesburg. Better setting and is operating better with faster times.

I signed up for and received both my vaccine shots with GMR without any problem. I received my second shot on Thurs. Feb.11th. Since Friday I am receiving a daily "do not reply' email from GMR with a verification code to sign up for an appointment. I did not sign up twice so I'm not sure why they are sending me this email. I was fully vaccinated (two shots) by them. I guess there is a glitch in their system. I must say that as far as my shots were concerned, GMR did a wonderful job. It was quick and very efficiently done. I was very happy I signed up with them. I received my first shot on the last day before they had to shut down temporarily bc they had no more vaccine and my second appointment was, as scheduled, after they reopened. Great job GMR!!

Who is giving the Pfizer shot?
Got my first shot out if state visiting family. Need second Pfizer shot, websites don't mention which companies shot they are giving. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

rfc171 02-14-2021 12:13 PM

We registered with GMR, Marion County in Dec, and waited hours at Publix site. No one called yet! But we drove to Groveland without appointments and got our shots! Very organized, efficient, and friendly people! Thank you to these people!

jaj523 02-14-2021 12:19 PM

GMR contacted me too. However, once they dropped out of the picture, I was able to sign up with Publix. Have already had my first shot and will get the second in a couple of weeks. Wonder how many others decided to look elsewhere.

gcanonge 02-14-2021 02:07 PM

I also received a offer today from them for the shot. Fortunately I already got the first one at a facility that is 1 1/2 hours away. Do you think I could sign up for the just the second shot here so I would not have to drive so far for the second shot? Thanks

GMR Experience

I also was contacted by GMR. I found the team to be exceptional. I had a bad experience but not due to GMR. Some Villagers are just rude and mean. GMR moved the site due to rain. I was in my golf cart and the site was not in the field it was at the high school. So I couldn't just cross 466 to get to the high school I had to travel around using the paths. When I got to the high school the staff, sheriff's police and village security were very nice and directed me to the line for golf carts. Cars and golf carts had different entry points because cars came across 466 at a light and golf carts came down Belvidere. Went through got my shot and was in the waiting area to make sure there was no reaction. I was parked in the last space next to a cement embankment. A man in a white SUV pulled up really close next to me, rolled down his window, took off his mask and started yelling curse words about how he saw me sneak in the line. Which was crazy. The person from GMR told me to move up. There were two lines one for cars and one for golf carts. And they directed me to go when they merged the two lines together. I tried to explain to him that I did not cut in line but I was wearing a mask and he couldn't hear. Finally he drove off but it was not a pleasant experience. This man was so furious, he was screaming and yelling. Just a head's up if you take a golf cart. The line when I went was shorter for golf carts but we were at the high school due to the field being too wet. And those of you in cars, please understand the site is very organized and no one is cutting you off. The GMR personnel tell us when to move up and when to stop. No one is sneaking in. There is tape and barricades with sheriff's police and Villages safety so no one is sneaking in by driving a golf cart.

Today I received two emails and two different appointment codes from GMR . Tomorrow I am going to Orlando for my second shot. I am sure there are others in the same boat, so the list should continue to dwindle.

If you get a scheduling code but already got a shot elsewhere , please let GMR know so they can move the next person up. You can do it on the saferestart website, just use your code and follow the contact us directions.

newlife1 02-14-2021 04:00 PM

Those of you who got codes today’s what day did you register. We registered 1/13 and nothing yet.

Curious as to how many folks may have registered before me but have already obtained the vaccine elsewhere.

Also curious as to what happens in that regard? Is that accounted for somehow?

I registered 1/13 and nothing yet.

I am also 1/13. Today, GMR started contacting the 1/12 people. I think our turn will be later this coming week. It all depends how many people are on the 1/12 Wait List.

I just wish GMR would post where they are on their Wait List. I cannot find any online communication from them.

yankygrl 02-14-2021 04:31 PM

In response to the address - the emails all say Woodbridge however the entrance UNLESS THEY CHANGE IT BECAUSE OF MUDDY CONDITIONS is actually right behind Fresh Market on Wedgewood.

Getting appts.for vaccination

I was on the computer every morning, registering at ALL the sites, plus florida dept. of health, sumter dept of health, marion dept of health, publix-all.
I know you aren't supposed to, but I seriously felt we'd never get our shots-people who went online after me already had their 2nd shot.
We got our first 2 wks ago and our 2nd next week finally! Ended up going to Paddock Mall in Ocala.
I feel if you don't get on a lot, you will be ignored.
PS If you and your spouse enter right after eachother and they call for one of you-tell them your spouse registered at the same time. The girl found my name so I had the same appt with my husband. We were in at 5:45pm and out, including 15 min wait at 6:15pm Lines really short-maybe 4 ahead of you. Very organzied

Red Rose 02-14-2021 07:54 PM

The name of the street at the vaccination site is Woodridge. No B in it. Hope this helps.

Remlod 02-14-2021 08:32 PM

Not sure how this works but I subscribed to the Sumter site and got tired of waiting. Got in line for the first come first served site in Lake County and got our first shot week ago Friday at the Amazon warehouse.
Now have a confirmed appointment for the Sumter program. Can I gift my 6 digit code to someone else?

Just got back from Orlando after getting second shot. I found a new email from Fl.gov. offering me my second dose of vaccine at Lake Square Mall for Wed., Thurs. or Fri.,

Could have saved a trip to Orlando, but happy to have it over with. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes at Convention Center.

Also registered on January 15th and am feeling cautiously optimistic as a friend who registered on January 13th received his email two days ago. I think we’ll be notified within the next two weeks unless they run out of vaccine again❗️😤

Please, if you no longer want to be on the GMR Wait List do the following. (I copied this good advice from a previous poster).....

If you get a scheduling code but already got a shot elsewhere , please let GMR know so they can move the next person up. You can do it on the saferestart website, just use your code and follow the contact us directions.

Absolutely do this, we did and received a thank you email that said they’d move on to the next name on their list.

New Englander 02-16-2021 11:10 AM

I signed up with GMR Jan 12 in the afternoon and will be getting my first shot with GMR this afternoon. I understand they use the Moderna Vaccine.

Byte1 02-16-2021 03:30 PM

Received notification from GMR with code for first shot today. Went to their site and sent a cancellation request. Next person in line can move up. We had our first shot on the 4th and get our second on Mar 4th.

Thank you for cancelling with GMR so the Wait List can keep moving along. So much appreciated!!

BTW...can you tell me when you were put on the Wait List? I want to keep track of what date GMR is working on. I am going to guess you signed up on Jan. 12th, but you would know better than me!

Could you tell us the date you were placed on the Wait List? This information will really help determine where GMR is on the list. Could it have been Jan. 12th or 13th? Thanks for any info you can provide!

In addition (huge request!), could you and your friend go to the GMR website to cancel your appointment request? This would remove your names quickly from the GMR list so others can be notified.

Enjoy your Whole Foods trip!

I have posted this before but here it is.

Registered and put on wait list 1/11/2021 at 7:30 PM.
Received our notification and code (2 separate email for wife and I) 2/12/2021.

Dates provided to choose from 2/13, 2/16, 2/17 and 2/18.
We chose 2/13 for our first.

Response back included code and second shot reservation for 3/13.

If you have received their email acknowledging your registration information was received and you are on the wait list.....then per their promise you will be contacted.

I am scheduled for 9:30 tomorrow 2/17. Around 4pm today I drove past the GMR Woodridge drive location and it looks like a tornado had touched down and destroyed a large tent and for sure you would need a 4 wheel drive to go thru the mud.
I hope to hear from GMR as to where to go soon High school or Wildwood or ?

They relocated to the Wildwood Community Center for today's appointments.
The info was in the paper this AM...bottom of front page.

dbcolli 02-16-2021 08:17 PM

Thanks for the info, I do not get the paper.
I will go to the Wildwood location with fingers crossed.
I feel I should have been notified by email from GMR as I read someone else was.

My wife and I both signed up on Jan 11 and she has an appointment for tomorrow Feb 18

I have yet to hear from GMR and am curious as to why only one of us has received an email and not the other. Hoping I will hear soon as well.
