There was suppose to be millions of doses of the vaccines sitting in freezers. How can this be? So the nine month nightmare continues.

Someone at best didn't remember they sent them all out and at worst someone lied. Although some states still have millions of doses that are sitting in freezers.

From a newspaper article:

Those in line for their second shots are still expected to get them on schedule because second doses are prioritized over first shots and states are still receiving regular vaccine shipments. But state and local officials say they are angry and bewildered by the shifting directions and changing explanations about supply. Their anxiety was deepened by projections that a highly contagious virus variant would spread rapidly throughout the United States and as daily covid-19 deaths averaged 3,320 this week.

Something this important would be hard to forget.

This is what the email said about the second doses: "If you received an appointment for your second dose, your appointment will remain as scheduled until further notice. If we do not receive the necessary doses, we will reschedule your second vaccination appointment."

Europe is running short, as Pfizer scaled back on distribution, whilst the changed/upgraded(?) production. Statement said higher production is imminent.
UK seems to be doing quite well for vaccine, and getting it into peoples arms, although the trend here is one vaccination then up to 3 monthe for second jab.
Don't understand how that works, but CMO says it will be ok!?
Feeling a bit like mushrooms, kept in dark, and fed a load of s**t.
Wife and I so lucky to have had both jabs early.

There was a report that the site in The Villages distributed 7,000 Vaccine doses since the site opened on Monday... if accurate, there are 7,000 folks that will require the 2nd dose starting on (@?) February 3. For those of us that are in that initial 7,000, we should be covered by the incoming distributions projected. If that does not occur, our Governor is to blame... at the snap of a finger, he can redirect enough doses to cover the load. I feel sick about those who have pending, confirmed appointments that have been (hopefully) just TEMPORARY pushed back... just keep the faith....

The news has released Biden’s new plan and they will be distributing the remaining vaccine differently. Targeting those in areas hit the hardest.
I guess Florida is not on the list.

We went by the site at 4:45 Sunday afternoon as they were closing it up for the day... there were @ 20 cars waiting out their 15 minute observation period and no cars in line awaiting service... Officer told me directly: site is scheduled to close but last appointments are scheduled for 4:30.... that jived with what we observed...

The second shot is a booster to push efficacy up to the promised 95%. You will have up to 80% efficacy with just 1 shot. You do not have to start over.

I'm not expecting anyone to have the answers. Just venting.
You have to start over. First shot needs second within a certain leriod of time
