thanks for all the great advice

We are cartless snowbirds as well. Every single sales rep, and I've talked with a bunch, and one mechanic told me I'd be better off with a gas cart until I become fulltime.
I don't pretend to know much at all about carts, that's why I ask advice.

If I want to walk the courses I can still drive there on my cart. It takes less parking space which is especially good if you go to the 'very limited parking' town squares. It takes the place of a second car without the expense of car ownership....etc.

In 30 years of golfing and golf carts in New England I had never rented or even seen an electric golf cart.

Yoda, That's funny. My dad can't wait to come see the golf cart we purchased in December because he claims he's never seen a gas one.

At the courses I play in NY State, almost all the courses have gas carts. Granted, I don't play the fancy courses, but of the several courses I play routinely, only one has electric carts.
I never asked the reason for their choice of carts but I'll make it a point of asking this year.
