Default Where is the Relay For Life of The Villages of Hope Going to Be Held?

To clear up any confusion regarding the location of the
Relay For Life of The Villages of Hope
I hope you find the following directions helpful:

From Highway 441 going north, turn LEFT onto 466
Drive into the Villages
Pass Southern Trace
Cross over CR 101
Pass the Villages Charter Schools on your Left
Turn RIGHT at the intersection of 466 & 103

Landmarks:
When you turn, the Golden Corral will be on your right & the Walmart Super Center on your left

Pass the Steeple Chase Retirement Home
The Central Florida Urology Specialists / Central Florida Prostate Cancer Center, Advanced Urology Specialists / Advanced Prostate Institute
at 12109 CR 103 will be behind the Retirement Home.

We are currently working on the issue of Golf Cart Access. Thank you for your continued support and hope to see you there.

Dorothy? Are you the person that in the past was the director for the Relay for Life held at the Charter School here in The Villages?

Are you having a good turn out? Do you think it will be as big as it was when it was on the high school track?

Grace,
Summer Reyes was the staff partner last year working directly with the event, but I was the director of the Unit then too. There has been a great deal of confusion regarding the event happening, so the turn out may be slimmer than in the past, however, it will have all the components of Relay For Life which include Survivor / Caregiver lap; Luminaria; etc.

I am asking everyone I see to spread the word. Despite sending numerous press releases to the Daily Sun regarding the event and survivor activities, none have run; therefore I have had to rely on outside sources to try reaching residence.

Those involved with the event are extremely enthusiastic and doing all they can to make this a memorable event. We would appreciate anything you can do to spread the word that the event will happen; everyone is invited and I hope to report soon on golf cart access.

For those participating, they find the location very nice. thank you again.

Dorothy,
Thanks so much for your care and commitment.

I have always intended to participate when I become a Frog, and that is still my intent. We have all been touched by cancer in some way, if not as cancer patients ourselves, then as loved ones of the cruel disease's victims. I hope would-be Village participants will not "punish" Relay for Life for being off-campus. It's not the organizers' fault.

It is a shame that TV media will not publicize the event. I hope your efforts to get the word out are fruitful nonetheless. I hope for an excellent turnout and successful event.

Please let us know how the event fares.

All best wishes.

As a resident of The Villages and the husband of a breast cancer survivor, I find the actions of the Developer in regard to Relay for Life to be absolutely reprehensible-- now topped off by the refusal of his Daily Sun to run your press releases. Has the Developer no shame? We go back to the question of how much, and what kind of, financial interest the Developer has in the Moffitt fund-raising drive?

I agree -- the refusal of the developer's Daily Sun to do any press on Relay for Life is shameful.
