There's where The Villages are being to nice about not wanting to make anybody mad or give the Villages a red mark. So to me why are they paying Community Watch to do a job. Not picking on them but what are they paying them to do, just like on the golf courses, the ambassadors won't say anything to slow playing golfers about letting people play thru or tell them to move up to a closer tee box.

Yes, the cart driver was being very inconsiderate of you but ...? I am editing because I am not quite sure what was meant by "the driving lane". If you meant something besides a lane in the parking lot, I apologize. |

I will never park on the end where a car that is trying to parallel park can hit my cart while they are trying to park their car.
In the 11 years I have lived here I have watched people parallel park and hit a golf carts parked in the space both with the front of their car and the back of their car. In fact a high percentage of the time it is just interesting watching people attempt to parallel park period. |

However I saw a gal parallel park recently and she did a perfect job. I complimented her and then had to laugh (as did she) because she said her car did it automatically. :) |

What is VLSI that was referred to in an earlier post

I have actually had an ambassador say something about what he thought was slow play. In reality, the two tee times in front of us were not filled which explained why there were two open holes in front of us. He was a bit embarrassed when this was pointed out to him but I was glad that he was at least willing to address what could have been an example of slow play.

How about using retention ponds for additional parking? Post signs saying "No gators allowed".

Here is the only parking protocol that exists: If there is an open spot in which you can fit your car or cart you are entitled to park there.
If someone was courteous and parked their cart aside another cart and left a spot open big enough for a car to get into -- then it's your lucky day. If someone decided to park their cart in the next completely open space so that two carts took up two spaces, well perhaps they were not as courteous as they might have been, but there is nothing defective with them as a person. And if you are in your car and drive by and see it, well it's the rub of the green for you to deal with. Don't we wish all of our problems were so big. Let's try to be kind to one another -- online and in person! |

All of that falls into the category of what my son terms "First world problems". Imagine if we all had to deal with "Third world problems". Then the complaints would be "My children are starving". The warlord killed my spouse. I'm sick and there is no medicine. The water is filthy. The dictator put me in prison. I know which set of "problems" I'd rather deal with. |

luckily, the man who blocked me in was in line to pay and he came right out to move his cart, but really he was clueless. There was a cart parked in the ramp from the sidewalk to the street a couple years ago. my friend and I moved his cart out of the way. I'll bet he was surprised when he came back :crap2: |
