I haven't been on this forum for a while so I may have missed it.
Anything happening to get The Villages to reverse the entertainment groups decision to cancel new years celebration on the squares???

The party line of we are getting so big it is difficult to keep it safe.....BS...Bah Humbug...lame!

Anyway another take away by the generation now running the :developement" that has no regard for the wishes of the residents....the further from Schultz the less the customer matters.

No change for this year. Watch - next year Barbara Vesco will have the "bright idea" to have the celebration at the Polo Field with a live band and charge $30 per table so they can sell liquor again.

Did anyone bother to ask why the charge and then why the change?

Could it have been that last year there were problems with young outsiders coming in and since it was a "public" party nothing could be done unless they broke the law?

Could it be that by charging a fee for tables it becomes a "private" party and those from outside who didn't reserve and pay for a table could be legally removed?

Could it be that we let someone bite off our nose in spite of ourselves?

Seems the majority may have gotten screwed again by a few no nothings who made an awfully lot of noise and The Developer responded to the "wishes of the people".
