Default Golf Cart Recommendation

I know this is going to cause a flurry of responses because here in TV the villagers seem to have a love affair with golf carts. I recently bought a house in Largo and, I too, am looking for the perfect golf cart. Must be electric and now for the rash of replies. I would like to know the best place to buy and why. Let the fun begin.

Good deal at TNT Yamaha in Quincy, Illinois -- Basic cart starts at $4799.00 and accessories are discounted -- They deliver to The Villages free with no sales tax and set the cart in your driveway -- These are the new Yamaha Drive, gas or electric -- A four year warranty is included -- I have not seen anyone beat there prices and service -- We have a house in Duval and one in Hemmingway and both get the TNT carts with "The Villages" deal --

Of course you have a hell of a trip driving that cart up I-75 for the yearly service. Best plan on taking a few days for that one. Try to avoid Atlanta during rush hour.

I just bought a Club Car Precedent from Golf Cart Connection and I LOVE it. As with anything you buy, there might be some small item you want looked at - when I called them they sent someone within 24 hrs to look at it. No problem. I would recommend them highly. I went there because of the high marks they were given on this forum and also from people around me who have bought from them.

Golf Cart Connection  Click on their ad in the right margin. Nice folks to deal with and a very good price on their carts. They get an A+ for service, too. One of the snaps had come loose and the service man was at our house the next day, replaced the snap and muted the back up signal while he was there.

We ordered ours (re manufactured Club Car) from Golf Cart Connections after touring their plant and talking with employees, owner, etc. Seem like good folks to do business with. We take delivery on the 26th, and I am sure the product will live up to expectations....

I have to say that we bought at EZGO and are very satisfied.
Priced alot less than the Yamaha below......and has more bells and whistles.

I was not impressed wth Golf Cart Connection....sales person did not have a lot of info
to offer.

I had a very bad experience with Discount Golf Carts. They may have the best price but you get what you pay for and the service was horrible. When they delivered it, they had forgotten to put on the rubber clips for the windshield and when I called, I was told that I could come down and pick them up, they were easy to put on. I think they put every used, leftover part in my cart when they "rebuilt" it. One month after I got it, it broke down and they brought it back to their shop where it was 2 months before I got it back because they were waiting for the part. They had given me a loner which had no sides and we were in our winter and it was so cold and damp I couldn't use it. It seemed like every time I drove my cart, something else went wrong with it. It finally sat in my garage because I was tired of putting money into it. I wouldn't send anyone to them.

Since I bought my new one from Golf Cart Connection I have it out everyday and love it. The people there are wonderful - when you call they are more than willing to talk to you and answer any question you might have. One of my tail lights was loose - they were up within a day with a brand new one.

The Villages Florida

Smalldog sez lemons are available but not very common, a lot more common are sales people with the gift of blarney ....... this forum will help you some with that ......... we bought a new gas four seater from Villages Golfcart( Yamaha) and are satisfied going into our second year with high usage of the cart ......... electric carts need battery replacement after several years not to mention electric usage forum your home for charging ......... and living on the southern end, Hey it is hilly here and our most common guests are like us full sized people and lead acid batteries are somewhat heat sensitive : but yes the gas cart is a bit noisy and can be depending on the conditions smelly and you do need petrol from time to time( usually 3 weeks in my case)
nothing is a slam dunk, and you know what is said about opinions ( they are like *bleep* everyone has one) soooooo :dontknow:
