Your first post! "I was thinking of moving down there Here is another good reason not to." Looks like you had already made up your mind not to move here, so why the post?

I have no idea where all the golf carts and other goings on are, but my area of TV is like living in the Witness Protection Program ..................... Oh, come to think of it, we did have a loud couple here for a while, but the divorce put a stop to that.

Quite frankly though, I think it is the helium balloons, pink flamingos and half dozen cacti next to them...that are mostly responsible for the quick sales.

:D

Now that's funny!

While to some this may sound petty, I agree completely with you. We moved here in large part as a result of the extensive efforts taken but both the developers and the vast majority of home owners to keep The Villages as an oasis. There were rules in places when we bought and we will adhere to them.

Because the people from Southern Florida are just so uncouth!

Like I stated in the post about "yard ornaments and junk", if the cart in the yard offends some of you so much, pull you big boy pants/big girl panties up, walk up to the front door, ring the doorbell and proceed to tell the owners how much you dislike THEIR cart being for sale in THEIR yard. Express your displeasure to the owners in person.

Not so sure---anyone ever hear of "Road Rage"

Direct confrontations are fraught with sometimes dangerous reactions.

What HE said. Not the least being that they will always think you are an S.O.B. I would rather keep them guessing and sneak in a call.

I think you're making mountains out of ant hill. It far fetched stretch to get for private sale in there own yard to car lot, :wine: have drink and enjoy the day and worry about what you have control over.

Wow. How'd you get your fire hydrant to do that?

I am JUST KIDDING you....It's a slow day over here. Here are two Sandhill Cranes that just walked through our yard. They are married forever and almost four foot tall. I like them better than plastic Flamingos. I haven't ever seen a real Flamingo, but I have met several folks from Miami.

That is a fire hydrant that my husband actually used when he was on the department that we brought with us. Fortunately we have a courtyard villa so no one can bitch about our stuff.

I was told by community standards if they peak over my wall I can sue them for privacy violation. Anything that doesn't show over the wall is fair game.

manaboutown 03-06-2018 07:26 PM

I like to climb a peak and take a peek now and then.

I would say that people who peep over the walls have a few issues going on!

Community standards specifically mentioned drones. If they fly over your yard they are in violation.

That's the problem with drones, they don't have to "fly over your yard"...to see everything in it.

But they cannot file a complaint. if it is not visible from the street it is acceptable by their standards.

:coolsmiley: Good lesson. Every day I read an everyday problem such as this.

I’m sitting here in my easy chair trying to figure which threads I like the most “poop threads” or “deed restrictions threads”. It’s a very slow night.... Although I really like dog stories the passion regarding deed restrictions is at least equal to the poop threads. My Village is relatively new and as we walk around the hood about a fourth of the yards are legally technically speaking out of compliance. But guess what? The landscapes and homes are absolutely beautiful. The neighborhood in a nutshell looks fantastic. Occasionally a resident will put a golf cart for sale in their driveway or front yard. In a few days it’s gone. Our neighborhood is beautiful...... and it’s going to stay that way because we are a deed restricted community. Someone once said “You can’t stay young forever, but,you can be immature for the rest of your life”. anonymous

They are going through "empty nest syndrome" (pun intended) because they had their little one with them most of last year. Guess he flew away to College this semester.
P.S. They are sooper poopers so watch your step!

Who snags them to give them a summons?

Do they catch them with one of these:
