Those golf course lot are selling for waaaaaaaay less than they did in 2006. This is a perfect time to snatch one up at a very reasonable price. When this cycle of low home prices abates, those golf course lots will be in high demand again. Many people are coming from large properties and some privacy is a
requirement for them. If you are in the financial position to purchase one of the golf front or more private lots, I think you will be well served long term.

IF YOUR HOME IS ON A LAKE , THEN ITS CALLED WATERFRONT PROPERTY. THESE ARE THE TWO PARAMETERS THAT THEY USE , HOWEVER , I HAD A FRIEND THAT LIVED NEXT DOOR TO DOLLY PARTON . IN HIS CASE THEY REFERRED TO HIS LOT AS DOLLY FRONT PROPERTY....

Russ, be very careful with a promise of a Golf front, even if in the contract. I was promised such an amenity and when I moved in, I was two blocks from the course. The house did, however, have a small Volkswagen parked in the front yard, so I guess that met the criterion.
