I golf twice a week with a bunch of guys. We try to keep our distance. I wonder if the OP goes to the grocery stores? I did today. Went to WalMart and Publix, bought about 10 items between the 2 stores. I was probably closer to 40 different people that I will never see again. So, I guess I hope the OP NEVER goes out for anything.

Whoa there newby, with one post.

How about all the people from NY/NJ that's supposed to be self quarantining themselves when they enter our state? That's the main reason the virus is spreading, not people out getting fresh air playing golf!

To the original poster and the other negatives. Golf seems to me to be about the safest thing one can do in the current situation for activity outside the home. Not sure the original intent of the post. Do it right and it is fine. My friends are going about it the right way. Don't agree then don't play. Simple. Not about infecting anyone else.

No, it's a highly contagious virus and that's why it's spreading. Your "attitude" has nothing to do with it. Your ACTIONS are what is important.

I'm still concerned that we have planeloads of people from the NE that are coming here to escape a stay at home order, that are told to stay at home here for 14 days. What could possibly go wrong with THAT?

I am sure many of us appreciate your concerns but the golfers are not only riding in their own carts, are out doors not touching the flag pole, staying six feet away from each other and the clerks are wearing gloves, wiping our card with wipes and not allowing us to touch anything. Being outdoors whether walking or exercising one way or the other is a great way to pass the time.
