Could of been us playing cards. We have guests staying with us. We just wanted some fresh air. Husband has trouble walking.

Thank you for your observation........, we were 3 couples and 2 extra. We were 6 feet apart except for being close to our spouses. Please know the facts before you judge........Have A Blessed Day in The Villages.

It's not only the NY/NJ folks, our biggest threat was allowing spring breakers on our Beaches, we will be paying the price for that misjudgement in spades.

I do not see an issue with people playing golf if they have separate carts and maintain separation, unfortunately, I'm still seeing some sharing carts and they certainly do not appeared to be a couple.

#1 Activity in The Villages

Looks like we should all be happy that so far no one has imposed restrictions on bickering.

Luckily, all beaches in The Villages are closed.

So you think because you live in The Villages and have access to free golf that you need to be out on the courses playing every day? Has anyone told you that there is a deadly pandemic racing across America with many critical cases in Florida, including Marion, Lake and Sumter counties?

How about showing respect for the rest of us who have committed ourselves to staying in our homes to help end this pandemic. Those of us who were daily swimmers and/or enjoyed thousands of recreational activities? The rest of us have shut our lives down to stop the spread. We have sacrificed.

Golfers, do your patriotic duty. Go home and stay home.

Most viruses do not do well in the heat. We do not know how the COVID-19 reacts to the warm weather. But playing a round of golf in the warm weather may actually be healthy. Be sure to follow social distancing on the tees and greens!

I am sure many of us appreciate your concerns but the golfers are not only riding in their own carts, are out doors not touching the flag pole, staying six feet away from each other and the clerks are wearing gloves, wiping our card with wipes and not allowing us to touch anything. Being outdoors whether walking or exercising one way or the other is a great way to pass the time.

What many people are missing is the golf employees. They are still working and exposed to all the golfers that check in, especially at the championship courses. Please be considerate of the employees and keep a safe distance. Thank you.

hey, have some cheese to go along with that whine will ya

next you'll be advocating that the sidewalks all become 'one way' to limit the risk of passing closer than 6 feet with anyone walking in the opposite direction

There are so many people here who feel nothing applies to them. Very frustrating but when the Villages does not shut EVERYTHING down, people without common sense will still play golf and pickle ball

As an avid golfer here in TV I can tell you that things have changed almost daily to ensure the health of the golfers and the staff.

They have eliminated all physical contact between staff and golfers. You scan your ID, you run your credit card, you are not signing any paper, no starter slips are being used and they have removed all rakes and modified the cups so no one is touching the flag or the cup.

There are reports that the virus does not tolerate heat well but it does survive in the cold.

Continuing to golf is not negatively impacting anyone if it is done right and the guidelines followed.

Please don't be judgemental of those who are playing golf, going for walks or runs and being safe about it, just as we are not judging those who have made the choice to stay home.

Be safe and most importantly keep a good outlook on life and be thankful for what you have. Spread a little sunshine and make someone happy each day!

Again, golf is safer than the grocery store , the pharmacy and the gas station. Who appointed you dictator with the right to tell others what to do? The governor and the state health department, with much more information than you have decided to allow it (for now at least). Unless you know something that they don't, your 2 cents isn't even worth that much

The Villages public bath houses and the round table card shufflers have no place to go so they want others to do the same...
I'm sure if pools and rec centers were open they would be right their so stop acting like you care......
