Default Got phone call from Sumter County Dept of Health for 2nd Shot.

A number of questions were asked on how they were going to handle it. We just got a phone call from SCDOH for an appointment for our 2nd shot on Feb 3rd which was 27 days days from the first one. This was from the shots that were given in the 2nd group (the Eventbrite signup) at the WIldwood Community Center on Powell Rd. Same system, 1hr time window, drive through. Not sure how any of the others will do it but this was that specific group.

There were a couple questions asked about this so that is the answer. Must say, it was very well organized,

As did I. Hopefully they will have shots to give! From what I have been reading 2nd shots will have priority over those who have not yet had any for obvious reasons so any vaccines that come in will (allegedly) first be allocated to those waiting for 2nd shots since there is a time priority.

But did you also see the update on the site saying that the second doses are based on availability, and that there will be another phone call?

What "site" are you referring to? My shot was not from GMR (on 466) but directly from Sumter County Health Dept in Wildwood on Powell Rd. on JAN 7th. While it is not 100% clear to me it SEEMS those vaccinated on Jan5 & Jan 7 are covered but those after not sure. In any case I'm sure we will be contacted again if there is an issue. I am hoping not. I already have an appointment scheduled for Feb 3 when they called me.

Sumter County DOH and GMR sites are not related.

I, too, received my first shot from the health dept. the card I was given showed my second shot (Moderna) would be on 2/10. Time will tell if that occurs. I’m fairly confident that it will.
