Default Grandmas and Grandpas Only :)

We will have our 2 month old grandchild visiting with us in The Villages soon and was wondering how you transport your precious little one in your golf cart for the occasional rides into the square etc.?

We have one golf cart with seatbelts and our thoughts are to install the car seat in that cart similar to how you install it in your regular car.

Just seeing what everyone else does.

Thanks for your input !!!

I would use the car...............why take the risk?
A 2 month old doesn't care how they get there.

I'm not sure how safe it is to transport a baby in a car seat in a golf cart. Car seats are designed to be used in cars and in some cases with the shoulder belt. All of the ones our Granddaughter used were designed to be used in conjunction with an anchor.

I have a grand niece coming. No way would I put her in a golf cart, seat belt and car seat or not. No air bags anywhere and very little protection from any kind of collision but especially one from the side.

If you have a car PLEASE use it, don't even think of taking a chance with the little one in a golf cart! There are way too many ways for a child of that size to be hurt.

Thank you everyone who posted with your comments!!

My wife and I were just talking and discussing the possibility and have decided that even before we posted that this was not the thing to do.

Just looking for your opinions and they all are the same as what we came up with!!

We just see so many children riding in golf carts and sitting on laps and just cringe at the thought of what would happen if you have to stop quickly, make an evasive maneuver, or GOD forbid, be involved in a crash!!

Thanks again!! You guys are the best

Smart decision made by a caring grandpa! Grandchildren are the best gift of all! Enjoy every second with them especially when they are little!

Can't start putting them babies in the cart too young. That little grand baby probably be driving that cart all over The Villages by the age of 11 or 12.

I believe you should check with the local police to see if it is even legal to have a car seat or other method of securing an infant in a a golf cart.
Safety safety safety vs convenience ....

Two months old? We wouldn't even consider using a golf cart. No way, Jose!
