They might not have their own for long.

Skip is up to 549 subscribers. Please tell your friends about this channel. Would hate to lose it.
Keep it up, Skip!

This means you have to have a certain amount of "hits" and subscribers before you can make money on your videos. Ever have to sit thru that commercial on Youtube before you can click on it to end it? That is how people (like me) make money on the views. Going thru the process of getting you channel approved by Google which owns Youtube is a long process. But, well worth it, if you have the content that people are looking for.

You have it wrong. At 1,000 subscribers Skip gets paid. He gets paid very, very, very little. About 7.25 for every 1,000 ad views. Sure that is nice but, so what? Skip, if you are out there and need 7.25 I will give it to you. Point is Skip has done this to help people and not make lunch money.

You said at 1,000 subscribers Skip gets paid. But, he has 775 subscribers so how does he get paid "very, very very little"? Confused here. I think the $7.25 per 1,000 ad views is way too high. I believe it's more like in the $1.90 per 1,000 area. He has a fun channel and that keeps him busy.

Gave it a try, seems like he is really into it, but way too slow and dry for my taste.

Welcome to Fenney!!! You are going to love it!

Fenney is too far for my taste. Would rather be near the shopping and restaurants. To me, location trumps new.

There will be plenty who love their new home in Fenney. And just like all of the new areas, soon the commercial venues will open to serve the area. It is market driven and takes a little time.

Oh, just you wait. Great things are happening in Fenney. I currently commute 35 miles one way to work. Driving to any of the town centers is a piece of cake compared to that. Fenney and Southern Oaks area are going to be the best of the Villages in a very short time.
