Cherries are sold by the pound, so it doesn't matter how many she added or took out of her bag. They get weighed at checkout. Thinking NYers are cheaters, is like thinking all TV residents are like the cart guy shouting white power.

Some people just have no consideration for others. Selfish, disgusting and stupid.

She made a quick observation and one would have to assume he may have been infected with COVID-19 or perhaps some other infectious germs. I guess you wouldn't mind if he coughed in your face. Even if not infected the act was with total disregard for the rest of the shoppers. She should have removed the now contaminated items and trashed them without fanfare. Confronting the gentleman was dangerous. I still would report i to the store manager so he could take the proper public safety precautions to portect the rest of the shoppers.

That's why we have faucets that dispense water or even "produce wash" if you want more than water to clean your dirty produce. Yea, it's gross sniffing whatever but still it grows in DIRT and is handled by probably dozens of people before it gets to your local store. IF YOU BUY IT CLEAN IT! IT'S DIRTY! They don't wash it for you. Why do you think there are so many recalls of fresh produce ?
Boy are you a party pooper or what. Are you trying to stop some of the ridiculous back and forth bickering with a realistic post? Shame on you.

And each of the 130k+ US deaths assumed “without any evidence” that their surroundings were virus free...

OP didn’t assume anything! Trying to keep us ALL safe. Could’ve had COVID, could be asymptomatic or not. He shouldn’t have done what he did. Still needs parenting at his age unfortunately. Thank you OP for trying to keep us safe.

BINGO, ya think a chef or apprentice or dessert chef never sniffed anything, think again.
Someone also mentioned pick up or delivery, how knowledgeable are the people shopping for you, they handle it and MAYBE even sniff on occasion.
Usually we see comments like MOVE or STAY HOME, totally surprises me no one has said STOP EATING!
