Fenny $$$ going up
whoops
|
There is a quarry nearby that blast 5 times a month. Residents are complaining about it. I provided a link to the news article, but it says my message will be flagged.
Please google "quarry in Fenney" and you will find the article. |

Just to be clear. Fenney is a Village, part of the 80 Villages that makes up THE VILLAGES. There is no quarry in Fenney. There is a quarry less than ten miles from Fenney. There is also another thing that happens frequently about this kind of misinformation and focus on negatives. There are those whose agenda is to try to keep people from coming to The Villages for a variety of reasons. They are involved in another competitive over 55 community. They are realtors who cannot sell NEW homes in The Villages, (the new homes in The Villages are only sold by Villages agents) or they do not wish for The Villages to add population because they feel there is too much traffic and too many people. |

I would think (hope?) that if one were to call them, they might give info...on their blasting schedule.

It depends on the demand for big and Little Rock's. I use to work at quarry's. Depending on the ledge of material usually takes about 8 to 10 work days to drill, blast, and use up the product. But, depends on Supply and demand? The villages are supplying the demand and the quarry supplying the rocks through the rock crusher. One thing for sure quarries eventually run out of good limestone or land to scalpel. Eventually the problem will go further down the road? |
Blasting at the quarry down the road. Quite frequent I might add.
