I know it’s a twist on the threads topic, but does anyone know of a knife/hatchet throwing club?

Although that is correct, if you order online, the 3-day waiting period starts when you place the order. So, if it takes 3 days to deliver the order to the store, it really doesn't matter.

The prices are on the website. 35 rifle range. 10 extra person. 10 each for shooters card. = 65$ plus thats only 1 hr. You go over by a minute you pay more.

The shooter’s card you purchase is a once every 12 months not every visit, and rifle range is $30 per hour. So only on your first visit for 2 people would it be$60, after that it would be $40 for 2 people, one lane for one hour.

I will break it down easy for you. Shooters world is very nice , air conditioned etc. will run you about 65$ for you and a partner to shoot 1hr.

The gun shop inc, no ac, but fans. Not fancy and new. $50 for you and a partner to shoot. Unlimited time. (Not charged by the hr like shooters world)

We chose the gun shop inc to sight in a new optic. It was fine for what it was. I was out of there in 1hr and 15 minutes. So sighted in my new optic for $50. Shooters world because i went over a hour would have been around $110! If i was bringing someone from out of town out shooting to impress them i would go to shooters world. Hope this helps. Neither include ammo. Both places require range/target ammo. No green tip etc.

WOW! Sticker shock at $65 an hour! Does that come with a full body massage?
Local indoor ranges in Georgia, 25 yard range is $12 at one location. Another indoor range is $30, no matter the time. With a 100 yard rifle range, 25 yard handgun range. Neither has time limits.
Or an annual membership of $300 for fire/popo/military, $400 otherwise. Unlimited visits. I was hoping there were reasonable range rates in the area. Guess I’m wrong.

Shooter's World for range- Vanguard Gunworks for everything else!

I prefer to go to Shooter's World when I have to shoot for any reason. Whether it be practice, zeroing, test fire, or qualifications, Shooter's World is the best range around! If you go a lot, get a membership. It will pay for itself over time since you get the range for free. If you don't plan on going often, they do the one time fees mentioned earlier or a 5 or 10 visit Range Pass for a reduced price.

With that being said, I will add that I am a certified gunsmith with a home-based FFL called Vanguard Gunworks. I do special orders, transfers, and repairs for much less than Shooter's World or the other big stores. I would love to help any of you with your firearm needs. (i.e. Transfers $25, not $75 like you will find there) Give me a call at 352-633-7474 or check out VanguardGunworks.com

 You read reply #9 but not #12 or #17 where they give the true info. and 1 even gave a link to see for yourself. Not reading an entire thread is a bad habit to get into but ........ one that is common with (IMHO) about 95% of posters here. :read:;)

There are reasonable range rates. See Ares training facility:

Ares Training Facility - Memberships, Shooting Range

I went with the silver individual at $400 because I like using the pocket berms for handgun training

I was wrong, the place does have beer and wine sales. All the times I have shot there over the years I've never seen anyone drinking these beverages. I can't believe that alcohol sales there are that big of a profit maker.

Yes. Florida did pass Constitutional Carry. Went into effect last July, as I recall.

However in my opinion if you're going to carry in Florida, then getting a permit is a smart move. For one thing Florida has reciprocity with a lot of other states. A Florida permit is good in those states, which may not have constitutional carry. Another reason is that laws differ from state to state, and the Florida permit class is supposed to cover that as well. What was legal in Massachusetts may not be legal in Florida, and vice versa.

Exactly...

I've have a FL "Non-Resident" permit for years and years.

It was very helpful carrying in over 30 other states. Funny, SC did not recognize FL's Non-Resident permit.

When I was there in July, my permit was due to expire, so I went to the Sumter County Public Safety Center in Pinellas Plaza and was able to renew my permit as a new FL resident, even though I'm still not full time there...

20 minutes, in & out...

Read the thread... It's nowhere near $65/hr...

When considering costs, I always include ammo. I can easily shoot 100 rounds in an hour. At $25-35 / box 50, you are adding another $60 or so tho the range fees. It's not a cheap hobby, that's for sure.
