Lightbulb Hacienda Hills to become a casino?

That's what one CDD supervisor suggested.

Talk about dumb, and given current state laws, almost impossible... ideas.

Agree it's dumb but a poker room with some OTB and a Tiki bar already exists at Oxford Downs on 301 north of 466. They said that would never be built. [emoji6]

I don't gamble at all. So a casino wouldn't interest me. However, I feel it would be a huge success. There are a lot of people who like to gamble. Look at the lottery sales in supermarkets.

A golf cart accessible casino on Morse Boulevard, giving out free drinks - what's not to like?

Better double the number of ambulances on hand, for a start.

A Casino in The Villages, huh? It’s more likely to snow today in TV before that would happen...

I hope very much you are correct, that does not represent the Villages lifestyle we are accustom to, land it is way too close to home for us.

We need new people who actually are not in the developers pockets and half a brain elected to these positions

Casinos are illegal in Florida unless you are an Indian or have a license for pari-mutual gambling. Oxford is a licensed racetrack.
That must be a real brilliant CCD supervisor??? Not!
