Default Any problems with air conditioner installers?

We recently had a malfunctioning furnace, so we called our home appliance warranty company to report it. They sent a company called One Call to our house to look at the problem and repair it for us. The representative from this company (Matthew) lied to us all day about the options that the insurance company was supposedly offering us. They told us that before they would address any repairs needed on the furnace, some problems they claimed to have found in the air conditioner had to be addressed and repaired - at a cost of approximately $3700 and with a delay time of 4 to 6 weeks. Or, if we wanted to have heat in our home in less time than that, they gave us two options for installing both a new furnace and a new air conditioner. We chose to install the new systems, only to find out about two weeks later that One Call had never even contacted our insurance company while they were looking into our problem.

If anyone else has had similar difficulties with this company, I would like to hear from you to compare notes. Please contact us at mccoygl@outlook.com or at 352 753-9558.

Think I'd spend the money to call someone reputable like Chuck Farrell to look it over and see what he recommends. He does a lot of warranty work. Then, call Home Warranty and tell them the findings of both companies if in fact TV will cover more that what your present covers. So far as I know, there is no requirement as to whom you use to have something repaired that is covered strictly by the manufacturer warranty unless the warranty itself requires an authorized rep.
