Default Counting the Days till Home in TV

We finally put our house on the market this week after working over a year readying it for sale. No offers yet, but we are generating traffic and we think we are priced to sell compared to other homes in our neighborhood. All I can say is this has been a grueling process, and we haven't even scratched the surface in getting rid of a lifetime of possessions before we move!!!We joke that our house has never looked so nice and clean; even though we do spring cleaning here and there, we have never done everything at once.

We have our design appointment in mid April and we can finally start building our future home. It has been a long, long, year of working and waiting for our TV dream to come true!! Can't wait to join all of you.

Happy Holidays

We are so excited for you...and excited for you to join us here! Good Luck in selling your home. It sounds like a great deal for someone. Safe travels here, too.

Decluttering is such a freeing experience. I would start right away because if you like me, you will have much more than you realize. I know it takes time as you have to decide what is imoportant to keep and what to throw out.

The general rule of thumb I used is "if I haven't touched in a year, it gets thrown out". Just keep thinking,

"It's all worth it"

Now that we're less busy getting our house together, would you like to get together again? Looking forward to meeting up with you again.

As a REALTOR I can only say if the house looks "top shelf", nothing needs to be done, and it is priced right - it will sell. Good luck and welcome to TV.

Our house looks pretty darn good, especially it's "curb appeal." However, after interviewing several agents, we've learned our house is overly designed and dated. The young families today want more of a Pottery Barn look than professionally decorated from the 80's. Although we've removed wallpaper from some rooms, we did not remove it from all, (and it matches the window treatments to boot). So, it might be described as "dated."
fortunately, we live in an excellent school district, highly coveted by young families. And, our house seems to have more to offer than the other two houses on the market in the neighborhood.
thanks for the welcome to TV.
