Default Blues Band at Market Square 6-25 Was Very Good

Last night at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square was a Blues Band by the name of Beautiful Bobby Blackmon & The B3 Band. I really enjoyed them and this is the first blues band that I have seen here at the town squares. I hope they bring them back. I did a search of this group and see that they play often at BB Kings Blues Club in Orlando and are playing there on July 4th.

They played 50's and 60's Rock and Roll and mixed in some R&B Soul both were very good.

Below are some links that I found on my search.

Hope that others saw them last night.

A group of us were at the square last night and agree. One of our colleagues follows Bobby Blackman. As you said the group plays in Orlando and around. I am not a big jazz fan but thoroughly enjoyed the music.

I like the blues too, and specifically went to LSL to hear them. I was not disappointed! They are very talented, and also played some original tunes. Would love to see them play the squares on a regular basis. Who do you let know that we think they're good, so maybe they'll book them again? We only go to LSL a couple times a week, but we would definitely go to listen to them.

I agree. After a nice Red Sauce dinner listening to Beautiful Bobby Blackmon and the B3 Band across the way, we has to cross over to the square and see and hear them up close. They were an awesome band with Bobby's great blues guitar and bluesy voice. The rest of the band was just as great with the bass player playing awesome solos and the excellent keyboardist and drummer filling out the songs. I will definitely be looking for them again. Your body had to move when they played. You had little choice.

Called my husband last night from Virginia and he had just gotten back from the Square. He said that this band was really good and he hoped they would be back. I will call the Entertainment Department when I get back next week.

Very good band. They play Lakeridge Winery often and have seen them there many times.

It is wonderful to hear that Blue's Bands are playing in the Squares. I love the blues and look forward to hearing Beautiful Bobby Blackmon & The B3 Band perform.

Does anyone have the number to the Entertainment Department?

My wife and I love the blues. We thought that the band was excellent. Have lived in The Villages for 10 months and that was the first blues band that we have seen in the square.

Bobby asked the audience several times to phone the "powers that be" to get his band a chance to play here regularly.

I will track down the entertainment department email or phone number to let them know how much my wife and I enjoyed the band.

Would also like to see some other types of music, such as latin music.

Default Love the Blues

Glad to see that the blues are gaining a foothold in TV. We are long time fans of the blues. Love SRV and similar. Makes us excited about our upcoming move to TV.
