Default Help me find my home

This may sound weird but we just signed a contract to buy an Anna Marie CYV in Pennecamp. Our house up north is sold but we close in mid May and I did not want to lose out on the $6500 tax credit for repeat buyers that expires at the end of this month.

We have visted The Villages three times in the last 5 years as we have family in and around them. It is not like we are unfamiliar with the Villages but although we have lots of pictures of our new home and a map of Pennecamp, we have no idea where it specifically is. All online maps show an uncharted large area and in there somewhere is our home. We cannot even find it using a GPS.

Anyone have a map that they can mark to show where the Boxwood developement is? All I know is that is about 2 1/2 miles SW of the Lake Sumter Town Square.

http://sumterpa.com/ is the website for the sumter county property appraiser - if you have the address you might be able to find your house there.

Default 'nother map

another map is located here: http://www.districtgov.org/yourdistr...es%20South.pdf - allow map to load at 100% and you will see Pennecamp shaded in the aqua blue sector.

you might also enjoy this website: http://www.virginiatrace.com/ it offers a boatload of info for new and current residents of the villages.

WOW! That was fast. Hope you are very happy in your new home. Welcome to you. I feel sure you have chosen the right place.

Buttonwood is just next to Pennecamp and is close to The Villages Southwest perimeter.

Vinny,

Congratulations! You must be very excited!

The Villages has a new detailed map of TV for 2010 that just came out a few months ago. They are $5 each. All of Pennecamp and Buttonwood Villages are included.

Your neighborhood, Boxwood Villas, is directly across the street from the Pennecamp Recreation Center (were you'll get your mail).

We will be neighbors. We have a down payment on a lot in Pennecamp on Pennecamp Drive. We will start build at the end of the year and move to TV by July, 2011.

Looking forward to meeting you some day.

Good luck on your new home and life in TV.

Congratulations! We will also be your neighbors. My husband, Mike, and I have reserved a lot on Pennecamp Dr. and will begin building at the end of the year. Hope to meet you next Spring.

Thanks to you all. I found my home and also now know where our mailbox will be. My wife just asked me today. We are still nervous because our buyer keeps making more and more demands. We already had two deals fall through because the buyer could not get a mortgage but these people have put down a substantial down payment and the mortgage does not seem to be an issue. The issue is using their leverage to chip away at our selling price. The new home buyer tax credit expires this week so the power will shift to me.
