FWIW, if considering electric. Years ago, my elderly and fragile mother was in the reclined position in her electric recliner, when there was a power outage. How unlikely is that, but it happened. There was no way to return the recliner to the upright position without power, and the medical emergency service eventually had to be called to lift her very carefully from the recliner. It was not a good situation. Maybe new recliners have a safety mechanism to avoid these situations, but it is just something to keep it mind.

I've lived here in TV for 10 years and we've had very few power outages and the ones we did have only lasted for a couple of hours.

Look on line, you don't have to leave your home, you don't have to deal with sales people and if you don't like anything you see then go to your local dealer. It's only a click away and you're not forced to buy, my purchase arrived withing 10 days.

Check out Lifestyle Furniture that’s owned by Babette’s and much less expensive. There are lots of choices and the staff are very helpful.

Wayfair or Overstock (online) have a lot of chairs. Great prices and no s/h most of the time.

The only problem is you can't see if they are comfortable for you. Go to a furniture store so you can sit in them to see if you like them.

I did purchase our recliner on line, but if you want to make sure you know what you're getting go to the dealer when you find what you want, look it over find out who makes it and see if there is an item number then go home and get on line. You might find it to be less expensive and a larger verity of colors. I don't know anything about Overstock, but Amazon is reliable and has a good return policy.

Years ago, a friend went to Bloomingdales found a couch he liked that was exclusive for the store. He later found the same couch for 30% less, the only thing that was exclusive was the color.

Best sofa and chair i could find out there. A little pricey because it is flexsteel. I have learned the hard way and went cheap. Didn't last and was a waste of money. You will find flexsteel at Babette's. Good luck.

We purchased two new leather recliners at Almost Perfect! In the first shop on the right as you go in... we love them!

Hey, I do the same, but you wonder why so many local businesses go out of business. They just become showrooms for online retailers. It's really a shame, but that's the new world.
