That's a Villages sign, not a City or County or State or Federal sign.

Again, where do I find the fine print that states that? Where do I look on speed limit signs for that same fine print?

You are correct. I asked the Sumter County Sheriff's office about that sign. The deputy told me yes that sign was erected by the villages and they were working with the Wildwood police to get the villages to remove that sign. I have no doubt when the sign was put up the law prohibited golf carts from crossing roads at intersections. However that law was changed in 2019.:pepper2:

The Villages won't be taking down a sign that seems to have successfully scared people for years from leaving to enter non-Villages commercial establishments and spend money there.

To get to Lowes on the cart from your house, go into Spanish Springs and then over the cart bridge to the Historic Section. The bridge ends onto Paradise Dr. Take Paradise Dr. north, past the Paradise Rec Center, and continue on Paradise Dr through the Boone Ct intersection. After passing 5 houses on your left, you will see a pathway between the houses. Take that pathway through the gate and then follow the street going past the BJ's store. You will see Lowes just north of BJ's. And remember to take your gate pass, because you will need it to get back into the Paradise Dr. pathway.

The gate pass is also needed to exit Paradise Dr as well.

That was something I was happy to learn. It worried me that I might be able to exit through a gate but not be able to get back in. Since you need the card to exit, it ensures that you have a card to get back in.

The exact same sign as both sides of both round-abouts on Pinellas (& all over TV).

As I assume you know.............there are golf carts which can travel on Buena Vista, Morse, etc.

Just give TV a call (I don't have a number), they will confirm they erected and the signs are suggestions/warnings.

They might be able to help you on the speed limit signs.

*Can*: of course, just as I *can* throw a baseball through my neighbor's window.
*Are legally allowed*: No, golf carts are not legally allowed to travel on Buena Vista, Morse (below 466), etc.

Low speed vehicles are allowed to travel on Buena Vista and on Morse north of 44 (not sure about below 44) but while they may look similar, Florida law differentiates between golf carts and low speed vehicles.

Back to whose hand was wearing the glove that planted the sign? But which is it, suggestion or warning? I'm willing to accept that they are warnings, just as the signs before the circles are warnings. Both warn the driver that it is not legal for a golf cart to be driven on the roadway beyond the sign.

But hey, we aren't going to solve this here. You have your beliefs, I have Florida statute. Many may cross without a problem, I've seen many traveling down I-75 at well over 80mph without a problem. You have your discussion with a Wildwood officer saying it was allowed, with enough work I can find the official recording (CDD or PWAC, I don't recall) of the meeting where the Sheriff's deputy stated it was not allowed.

I am not going to take the opinion of a ToTV poster over the posted sign and the Florida statutes, others may choose differently.

Dude, you (and all the other posters) know what I mean.
If you don't want help, I understand.

Have a good day.

Why anyone would want to venture across 466a to Trailwinds in their golf cart is beyond me. We have a "street legal" cart and would never do that. The traffic there is insane.....especially by Lowes, Aldi and the shopping center with Publix and Marco's. We go over there frequently in our car.

Irregardless is not a word, well if it is , it's not what you mean, but the reverse.
