Homelink Programming problems
I am trying to link up my MVP allstar garage door opener with my new car. Never had a problem before. This mode opener does not appear to have a learning button on it even though it is circa 2007. So I usually hold up remote transmitter to home link button, press both together and wait for yellow blinking light to go green. After multiple attempts nothing.
Keeps blinking yellow even after 30 seconds. Anyone else had this problem? |

I had the same problem after trying about a dozen times. I decided to start the car and try to make the connection and it worked! If you had the car running when you tried to make the connection and it didn't work, I'm not sure why it isn't working.
I just helped a friend and her car buttons had a "learning mode". I followed the directions in the car manual and it took a couple of tries and then it worked. The car needed to be "taught" before it could hook up the the homelink. |

There are a few garage door opener systems that are not compatible with homelink. Hopefully your is.

Not all car homelinks are compatible with MVP openers. My 2006 Chevy wasn't. If that's the problem you need to install a homelink adapter. Many brands are available. Here's one: LiftMaster 855lm Homelink Repeater Kit - - Amazon.com
